On my summer reading list is Heart of the Soul by Gary Zukav. It is a well-written, easy to understand exposition of emotional awareness. It is "New Age" without being wishy-washy and compassionate without being touchy-feely. This is one of the finest books I have read. It allowed me to examine my actions and motivations on a very deep and profound level.
